Policy Information
Satisfaction guarantee:
Resurrected Furniture & Cabinetry LLC desires every customer to be completely satisfied with their custom orders. Not only do we guarantee quality and craftsmanship for every furniture piece, but we work closely with our clients to meet their specific needs (i.e. exact dimensions, coloring, stain, functionality) to our best ability.
When ordering rustic-style furniture, keep in mind that cracks, knots, nail holes, saw markings and variations in color are characteristics that make each piece individually unique, and are celebrated- not perceived as flaws. These character qualities add to the distressed appeal of the furniture and are discussed with our clients as a possible option, since Resurrected Furniture offers a variety of wood options.
Should one of our pieces require structural repair, please drop off the item at our workshop, and we will gladly repair it. If you are a distant customer, please ship the piece to our headquarters in Hayward, WI. Shipping is the responsibility of the customer. We want to be sure that our furniture is usable for generations to come.
Custom orders:
Resurrected Furniture & Cabinetry LLC specializes in custom-made furniture & cabinetry. We not only craft some of our own pieces of unique, rustic and industrial furniture, but we also construct a wide variety of designs for our clients. You are welcome to schedule a time to visit our workshop in Hayward, WI to help select the woods for your project and discuss designs together. We also work with our clients over the phone and via email to communicate the details of each custom piece.
All customer orders require a 50% down payment to begin crafting and to secure placement on our current project list. The remaining balance is due upon delivery or when the piece is picked up by the client. We don't typically use shipping services; therefore we only service regional clients. Please view our delivery service area map HERE. We work diligently with our clients to set a convenient delivery date and time. (See further details regarding "delivery" below).
Table top orders:
When a client only orders a table top (not a table base) and we are not the responsible party attaching the top to the chosen base, Resurrected Furniture & Cabinetry LLC is not liable for damage that happens to the table top in the process of the top being attached to the base or any changes to the top due to the choice and materials used for the base.
Order completion date:
We will provide you with an estimated completion date early in the ordering process. This will be dependent on our current project schedule. Once the customer decides they would like to move forward with an order and a down payment is received, they will be added to our current project list and completed in a timely manner.
Delivery:
Once the estimated completion date has been determined, a delivery time and place will be communicated between Resurrected Furniture & Cabinetry LLC (Dusty) and the client. We do our best to make the delivery date and time as convenient for the customer as possible.
Unless previously arranged, ALL furniture items will be delivered to the entryway, driveway or curb side of the delivery address provided by the customer. Placement of the furniture item(s) in the home/office and package removal is not provided by Resurrected Furniture & Cabinetry LLC. The customer must be present at the time of drop-off and additional moving assistance may need to be arranged by the client.
If in-home delivery is desired by the customer and is previously arranged with Resurrected Furniture & Cabinetry LLC, the customer is responsible for arranging additional moving assistance that will be needed to facilitate the in-home delivery. This will need to be communicated to us by the customer in advance in preparation for the delivery and will cost $100 in addition to the regular delivery fee.
A delivery fee will be determined depending on the delivery location. Please visit our Contact Us page to see our range of delivery areas.
State/County Sales tax:
Resurrected Furniture & Cabinetry LLC is required by law to collect Wisconsin sales tax on all furniture items and will be included on all invoices.
Unclaimed Furniture Pieces:
If a furniture piece is not picked up by the client by the agreed upon pick-up date, the client has a grace period of one additional week to pick up the furniture piece. After one week, rent will be charged to the client for Resurrected Furniture & Cabinetry LLC to store the piece on our property at a rate of $100 per week. After 4 weeks of the client not picking up the finished furniture piece, it will become the property of Resurrected Furniture & Cabinetry LLC, even if the furniture is fully paid for.
What to expect with reclaimed wood furniture:
Our reclaimed wood is obtained from old barns, mainly from farms in the midwest, and offers a variety of intrinsic character including cracks, knots, nail holes, saw markings and variations in color. Many of these unique features are formed over time by the elements and oxidation or tell a bit about the history of the reclaimed material.
Keep in mind that wood adjusts throughout different seasons to the moisture content of the air, as well as to the moisture content of your home. To put it simply, wood “breathes.” It is natural for a wood board to move slightly or even develop small cracks. It is the customer's responsibility to keep proper humidity levels in their home or office, as a dry atmosphere may cause the wood to move or crack.
To fix small cracks, apply wood putty in the crack with a plastic putty knife or dab black stain in the crack. Properly caring for your furniture will ensure it to last.
